The 2010 ES Youth Football Pre-Season Jamboree is a free event that brings local, regional and national teams together in one place to test their team football skills prior to the start of your leagues regular season play.
The GLYFC is dedicated to providing a venue for teams to enjoy this scrimmage concept that focuses on coaches having the opportunity to identify strenths and weaknesses of their teams, and enjoy some quality and competitive scrimmage opportunities.
12 teams per age division will be given an oppurtunity to participate. Each Team will be given two 50 min scrimmages on the same day against an opposing team, at several state-of-the art High School Stadiums in Grand Rapids, Michigan (TBA May 1st).
Inform your parents and spectators that there will be a gate admission fee of $5.00 for adults and kids under 17 are free. Concessions will be available for the entire event.
2010 Youth Football Jamboree Format Overview
The Ball will be placed on the 40 yard line, and you will be given 25 minutes to test your offense and then 25 minutes to test your defense. There will be a certified official refereeing each scrimmage along with your team coaches pointing out errors to your players. You will play both 50 min scrimmages on the same day.
The purpose of the "Jamboree" is to generate excitement for both the players and the parents for the upcoming season, and Kids and Coach's can test their team skills against teams that they will not play during the regular season.
It is not necessary to have a team roster or know the age of the team you are coaching to register right now. Team roster information will be required at a later date one prior to the Jamboree start date.
